The Florida Legends will be inactive for the summer of 2011.

Rick Torcise has conveyed all his shares in the Florida Legends to David Elder. Rick has decided to spend more time with his family. Many young men were the beneficiaries of the Torcise family generosity over recent years, and the Legends hope that those young men will pass on the gift of generosity to those even younger than them.

Legends Head to Semifinals of CMWS after 6-2 Victory over Broncos

Three mental mistakes in the first three innings costing the Florida Legends at least two runs at Ricketts Park in Farmington, New Mexico. Those are the kinds of situations that would make even the most ardent of Legends fans a little nervous. Recovering from their early lapses the Legends took advantage of six errors of the chargeable type committed by the Bill Hood Broncos from Louisiana in the quarterfinal Connie Mack World Series match up taking the game 6-2 and advancing to the tournament semifinals. The American Amateur Baseball Congress is the sponsoring organization of the Connie Mack World Series. The A.A.B.C. provides activities for youth and young adult baseball players through seven league divisions in the United States and Puerto Rico. Connie Mack regular season play allows players ages 16 to 18 to participate.
